We specialize in engaging Indigenous people, Industry and Government to collectively explore strategic partnerships to mobilize the Indigenous workforce.
Environmental Capacity Building and Training Program
In partnership with the Indian Resource Council, NAIT will deliver an Environmental Capacity Building and Training Program for Indigenous people seeking a career path in the net zero sector. This initiative is entirely funded by the Indian Resource Council to provide this training at no cost to students.
The program will take place between February 20th and March 21st, bringing career path exposure in green systems, environmental stewardship, and the net zero sector. Students will also take two courses on Clean Fuels and the Hydrogen Economy, and finally finish the program with direct job shadowing within one of NAIT’s Applied Research centres.
This training program will be available online and in person at the NAIT Campus, Edmonton, Alberta. The participants will receive a certificate for successfully completing the program.
The DEADLINE date for applications will be February 18th, 2025.
